Online Dermatologist in Madrid: How the Consultation Works

You can choose from two online options:

• If you use the message consultation, you can send your questions and photos directly through our secure messaging service. I will reply within 48 hours with clear and precise medical advice. This option is ideal for minor skin concerns, follow-ups, or when you need quick guidance without scheduling a video or in-person consultation.

• If you choose a video consultation, the system will provide you with available appointments. At the appointment you choose, we will talk live until your concerns are resolved. At the end, you will receive the prescriptions.

In both systems, I will perform the dermatologic evaluation using photographs or videos. The quality of the video image is not always clear enough to evaluate the characteristics of the skin. WHEN TO SEE A DERMATOLOGIST ONLINE IN MADRID

· Long waiting lists

Nowadays, many healthcare centres have long waiting lists for dermatology appointments. In many cases, an online dermatology consultation can help you address your concerns and receive appropriate treatment more quickly. In other situations, it can at least help guide you on the next steps to take.

· You are traveling

If you are away from home, an online consultation with a dermatologist can help clarify your concerns and guide you about your skin problem. If you are in the European Union, your prescription will be valid and you will be able to start your treatment.

· Second opinion

You may already have been seen by your family doctor or another dermatologist but still have questions about the diagnosis or treatment you received. With my online dermatologist service in Madrid, you will be able to discuss any concerns that remain unresolved. After the consultation, you will receive a report that you can share with your doctor or dermatologist if you wish.

· Cosmetic advice

You may want to take better care of your skin, but with so many cosmetic products available in stores and online, it can be difficult to know what is best for you. In this situation, an online dermatology consultation can help you establish a skincare routine that suits your skin type. I can advise you on which products may be most appropriate for your skin and explain why, based on scientific evidence.

If you are interested in a cosmetic treatment to improve the appearance of your skin (such as pigmentation, wrinkles or skin texture), I can also help. For this situation, you have the option of a video consultation designed specifically for this type of evaluation. If you decide to proceed with the recommended treatment, the cost of the video consultation will be deducted from the total cost of the procedure.

· Medical follow-up

If you are already one of my patients and are undergoing a treatment that requires follow-up over time, using my online dermatologist service in Madrid can save you unnecessary trips. We will be able to monitor your progress and you can receive prescriptions for your treatment without needing to attend an in-person consultation.

WHEN NOT TO CONSULT A DERMATOLOGIST ONLINE IN MADRID

Online dermatology consultations can be extremely helpful in many situations. However, an important exception is the evaluation of moles. These should always be examined in person using dermoscopy, as photographs alone are not sufficient to make an accurate diagnosis.

If you are concerned about a mole or a new pigmented lesion, consulting an online dermatologist in Madrid may not be the best first option.
