My training
I did my training as a specialist in Dermatology at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid. I obtained my PhD on the prevention of skin cancer with photodynamic therapy, and I achieved the recognition of “doctor cum laude” in Medicine and Surgery. The results were published in the prestigious British Journal of Dermatology.
Late in my studies, I completed a specific rotation period at the Hospital del Niño Jesús, in Madrid, and I received the sub-specialization in Pediatric Dermatology.
My background
As a result of this training and work experience, I have been able to publish several scientific articles in national and international journals. In addition, in 2018 I published my informative book “Lo que dice la ciencia sobre el cuidado de la piel” (“What science says about skin care”).
Currently, I make consultations of General Dermatology, Aesthetic Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology, also online.I specialize in in-person and online care, and I provide dermatologic surgery, mole control by dermatoscopy and photodynamic therapy. I have acquired a passion in everything related to skin cancer.
I am a member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV), the European Academy of Dermatology (EADV), as well as the Spanish Group of Pediatric Dermatology (GEDP), the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS) and the International Society of Teledermatology (ISTD). I am an associate professor of Dermatology at the Universidad Europea.
For several years, I travelled to Africa to Africa to train local surgeons and dermatologists in the treatment of skin cancer (always with a focus on people with albinism), in 2017 I participated in the foundation of the NGO Beyond Suncare.
